Thinkery: Exploring the Unique Museum for Austin, Texas

Austin, Texas, is a vibrant and cultural city that has many interesting places of interest for locals and tourists alike. One of the top attractions for visitors is the Thinkery, a dynamic science, technology, engineering, and mathematics museum. The museum opened its doors in 2013 as a merger of two local institutions, the Austin Children’s Museum and the Austin Museum of Science and Technology. The Thinkery offers an interactive environment with a variety of exhibits, programs, and activities that stimulate imagination and visual literacy. Upstairs, visitors can explore the Innovation Lab with sessions focused on various topics like digital media, coding, robotics, and more. On the main floor, visitors will find a variety of hands-on activities and experiments that explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). In the Maker Space, visitors can design and build projects and use tools like 3D printers and laser cutters while learning new skills. The Thinkery also provides educational programs for home-school students and students from the Austin Independent School District. These programs give students an opportunity to explore topics that might not be available to them in their regular school environment.
