You must first identify the breaker that tripped. Once you’ve identified the tripped breaker, turn the breaker to the “OFF’ position, then turn it to the “ON” position to ensure that it turns back on properly. If the breaker still trips there’s still a shortage within the circuit, contact a qualified electrician to resolve the problem.
Whole home surge protectors protect your entire home and all the appliances in case of a high voltage spike. Some of the common surge protectors cost between $80-$200 for the device alone but it can save you thousands in the long run!
GFCI’s are required in areas near water (bathrooms, kitchen sinks, outdoors, garages, etc.)
Flickering lights may indicate a bulb failure and will need to be replaced. Non-dimmable bulbs will also flicker when connected to a dimmable switch. Make sure you purchase bulbs that are dimmable and compatible with dimmer switches.
